    A FREE VACCINE CLINIC WILL BE ON CAMPUS

    THURSDAY, APRIL 17, 2025, FROM 9-12 am.

    Dear RMA Families and Staff, 

    RMA Amarillo received confirmation of a measles case on campus. In coordination with a mandate from local and state health authorities, and out of an abundance of caution, we are closing the school immediately. All students and staff will be sent home today (releasing immediately) and should remain home through Monday, April 21.

    Classes will resume on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.

    In accordance with public health guidelines, any student or staff member who is not vaccinated against measles will be required to remain in quarantine for 21 days. Individuals may return sooner only if documentation of current MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination is provided to the campus administrator. Those who do not provide proof of vaccination will be permitted to return after the 21-day period has passed, pending clearance from health authorities.

    During the closure, our facilities team will conduct a thorough, district-standard sanitization of all buildings. We are committed to maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment and will continue working closely with public health officials as the situation develops.

    If your child experiences symptoms such as fever, rash, cough, or red eyes, please contact your healthcare provider immediately and notify your campus principal.

    We will continue to provide updates through district communication channels. We thank you for your cooperation, understanding, and partnership.
